Baroque ar :D

The Baroque started because the Church was trying to draw people back to worship like they once have. So a counter-reformation happened and artist were commissioned by the Church and the baroque style developed. The Baroque art style is defined as a style characterized by movement, vivid contrast and emotional intensity. Baroque art is easy to identify with the bright color which looks like a spot light on the focal point the artist wants you to focus, the dark background helps the focal point pop out and makes it hard not to notice.

One of the most famous painting is the Girl with a pearl Earring by Vermeer who was a Dutch artist. The girl in the painting was a servant and Vermeer was attracted to her so he painted her.

Since many dutch citizens didn't want Religious paintings they preferred to have paintings of everyday life. Pictures of comfortable homes were appealing to the Dutch.

Pysanky egg art

Pysanky eggs art is an Ukrainian tradition. These eggs become works of art from all the elaborate decorations and hard work put in to them. The are dyed, painted, and can have jewels on them. The maker of the eggs have a wide range of what can be done to them. In our class we created Psanky eggs nothing as elaborate as tradition ones. He use dye and wax to make different colors and to create designs. The eggs were hard boiled so the risk of breaking lessened. Fist u could either dye your whole egg one color you please, then you would us wax and paint brushes or what ever utensil you have and make any design you please. Then you would dye your egg again and continue this process until you find your egg complete. You would go from light to dark in the dye process.

Renaissance Art ^_^

Renassiance artist that come to mind about this art period are Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinic, and Rapheal. Their are many more artist besides these men but there the most renoun. Besides them being three out of the teenage mutant ninja trutles there art works are more famous,
Lenoardo's painting of the Monalisa might as well be the most well knownart piece to come out of the renaissance art period.Raphea

Michelangelo most well known for painting the old testament on the ceilling of the Sistine Chapel. houg Michelangelo didn't think of himself as a paintet but as a sculpture. He as many works such as his statue of David, Pieta, and Moses are some of his pieces. Michelangelo worked pretty slow on his work.

Rapheal was younger the both Lenoardo and Michelangelo. He liked art work as a child and desided to go in to the arts. Rapheal looked up to both of the artists i have talke about and learned many things from there pieces. Raphel is known for making the painting The School of Athens, this piece i used to inspire me to create my own new piece of art work for our class assignement.

BYZANTINE.............

Byzantine art...uh... well the art is very 2d and has no depth. I'm not very fond of this period of art. Though the mosaics made during this period are amazing, I don't like that there very plain. The Hagia Sophia is an amazing Structure. Being made so many years ago and going through wars and still standing today. Though it has gone through construction due to so mishaps that have happen to the Church. The inside of the Hagia Sophia is all mosaic, and the dome of the Church gives it a floating look. It's an amazing site and can take any one's breath away.

AFRICAN ART

African art is very interesting, with the decorative masks clothing for leader and the legends behind some pieces. Masks in certain ceremonies will mean different meanings also with the design behind the mask. Some masks my represent harvest and others may represent a good hunt.

In the picture with the man sitting in the center of the crowd of people wearing extravagant clothing holding the weapon is the leader of the village. The staff and sword in his hands represent the power the man has. The decorative clothing also show his status as an important figure in his village.

Asian Art =^.^=

I LOVE ASIAN ART XD....

Well i find it so interesting that both Japanese and Chinese art focus so much on finding their center before painting. How they meditate for long periods of time before they start there paintings to capture the true beauty of the picture. Majority of asain art based around nature tranquel seens that help you meditate and become calm.

As for modern Japanese art i love anime and manga. If japan never started creating their own style of art when ties between China and Japan were made my favorate past time reading managas and watching anime would never have been created.

Greek Art ^^

Greek art was my favorite section that we have covered. Mythology is so cool to read, even though the stories are crazy but keep you interested. The stories were made to explain things that happened that the greeks couldn't make answers for like, what happened arfter death hw did the sun rise and set. They made gods to controls these and keep law and order also causing fear for those that do evil deeds.
